Evening dog sledding
Spend the day at leisure in Tromsø, or join an optional activity.
In the evening you will be picked up in the centre of Tromsø for an adventurous Northern Lights trip with dog sledding in the Tamok Valley. Due to the geographical location the climate is drier and colder than in Tromsø, thus offering a maximum chance of seeing the amazing Northern Lights.
The trip includes dog sledding activity, transfers, a traditional, hot meal and social time by the open fire in the Sami tent. Also included: winter overalls suit, warm shoes, gloves & head wear. English speaking guide.
What to bring: Comfortable shoes, warm and windproof clothing (special clothing will be provided)
Age restrictions: Min. 7 years old and accompanied by an adult
Difficulty level: Average physical condition – involves physical activity on uneven surface and/or steep terrain. Not suitable if you have limited mobility.
Alternatively, you will have daytime dog sledding in the Arctic Wilderness.
The daytime dog sledding includes dog sledding activity, transfers, learning about life with the 4-legged friends, hot drinks & small snack.
What to bring: Warm/woollen hat and socks, sunglasses or ski goggles, and your camera (thermal winter suits, winter boots, socks, gloves and hats will be provided).
Age restrictions: Min. 8 years old and accompanied by an adult
Difficulty level: Average physical condition – involves physical activity on uneven surface and/or steep terrain. Not suitable if you have limited mobility. We do not recommend this activity when pregnant, since
the tracks can be uneven. Weight restrictions of 110 kilos per person.
