Discovering Vøringsfossen waterfall and journey to Bergen
Embark on an exhilarating day of exploration as you journey from Lofthus to Eidfjord, immersing yourself in the awe-inspiring beauty of the Hardangerfjord region. Begin your day with a short fjord cruise to the village of Eidfjord. Relax on board as you glide across the tranquil waters, surrounded by majestic mountains and picturesque landscapes.
Upon arrival in Eidfjord, embark on a sightseeing tour by bus to the Norwegian Nature Center – Hardanger, where you'll have the opportunity to delve into interactive exhibitions showcasing the rich diversity of Norwegian nature, climate and environment.
Next, prepare for a breathtaking excursion through the dramatic Måbødal canyon, as you journey towards the edge of the Hardangervidda mountain plateau. Arrive at the edge of the plateau and be treated to dramatic views of the magnificent Vøringsfossen waterfall, one of Norway's most iconic natural wonders. Witness the waterfall's free-falling drop of approximately 180 meters, as it cascades into the depths below.
After taking in the awe-inspiring sights, return to Eidfjord by coach, where you'll board a boat bound for Norheimsund fjord village. Disembark at Norheimsund and continue your journey by bus, traversing mountain roads back to Bergen. Enjoy a 40-minute stop at Steinsdalsfossen, with the possibility to walk behind the cascading waters.
Upon arrival in Bergen and check-in at a centrally located hotel, the evening is yours to enjoy. The tour ends after breakfast and check-out from the hotel next morning.
At the time of booking, a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total price is required. This deposit is only refundable in the event that we are unable to confirm your booking.
For cancellations made up to 46 days before the departure date, there will be no additional charges beyond the deposit.
If cancellation occurs between 45 and 17 days before the departure date, 50% of the total tour cost will be charged.
For cancellations made 16 days or later before departure, the full payment (100%) of the tour cost will be required.

Bergen Airport, Flesland (BGO), is located about 18 kilometers (11 miles) from Bergen city center.
The journey from the airport to the heart of Bergen can be covered by various modes of transportation. The most efficient and economical way is by the Bergen Light Rail (Bybanen). Airport express bus or taxi service typically takes around 25 to 35 minutes.
Regional trains are equipped with a café or bistro car, where you can purchase hot and cold beverages, snacks and light meals. Options may vary depending on the route and the service provider. On certain trains or routes where a café or bistro service might not be available, vending machines stocked with snacks and drinks can be found onboard.
At the longer regional trains you will find designated play areas and larger restrooms. If the train has a café, you can get assistance with warming baby food.
